This Schedule incorporates the Faraday Intelligence Master Terms of Service by reference.
This Schedule governs Faraday Academy, Faraday's course and certification programme, delivered through a third-party learning platform.
The Faraday Intelligence Master Terms of Service are incorporated into this Schedule by reference and apply in full. They are published at https://faraday-intelligence.ai/terms. This Schedule adds terms specific to Faraday Academy. Where this Schedule conflicts with the Master Terms, this Schedule controls for Faraday Academy only, and only to the extent of the conflict. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Master Terms.
FA-1. Delivery on a third-party platform
Faraday Academy is delivered through LearnWorlds, a third-party learning management system. Your use of that platform is also subject to the platform provider's own terms and privacy policy, which you accept when you use it.
Faraday does not control the platform's availability, account handling, or data practices. Course content is Faraday content under Section 4 of the Master Terms; the platform is not. Where the platform's terms conflict with this Schedule as to platform operation, the platform's terms govern the platform, and this Schedule governs the content and the certificate.
FA-2. Course access
Enrolment grants a named individual access to the enrolled course for the access period stated at enrolment. Section 2 (named-seat) of the Master Terms applies: course access, materials, and any downloadable workbook are for you alone and may not be shared, resold, or circulated inside your organisation. Organisational and cohort licensing is available separately by written agreement.
Course materials — video, slides, workbooks, assessments, and answer keys — may not be recorded, redistributed, or reposted. Section 5 (automated access, scraping, and machine-learning use) applies in full, including the prohibition on using course material to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, or ground any model.
Faraday may update, reorganise, retire, or replace a course. Where a course you are enrolled in is retired during your access period, we will provide either continued access for the remainder of that period or a substitute course of comparable scope.
FA-3. Pricing and billing
Academy runs on a pricing model separate from the Faraday subscription tiers. Course prices, bundles, cohort fees, and any subscription-style Academy plan are published at the point of purchase.
Where an Academy purchase is a one-time course or bundle purchase, it does not auto-renew. Where an Academy offering is sold as a recurring plan, the Automatic Renewal notice in the Master Terms applies to it in full, including the in-account cancel path, the cancellation email address, and the refund rule (annual: pro-rata refund of the unused portion; monthly: no refund).
FA-4. Refunds
TODO(myke + counsel): set the Academy refund policy. It must be decided before publication and it is not a copy of the subscription refund rule.
The following must be settled and stated here:
- the refund window for a one-time course purchase (for example, a stated number of days from enrolment);
- whether the window closes on course-progress or content-access thresholds, and at what threshold;
- treatment of cohort or live-session enrolments, where a seat is reserved and cannot be resold late;
- treatment of bundles and of certificates already issued; and
- the interaction with any statutory cooling-off or distance-selling right that applies to purchasers outside the United States.
Until this clause is completed, Academy refund requests are handled case by case through the Feedback page, and no refund policy is asserted or denied on the basis of this document.
FA-5. Certification
A Faraday Academy certificate attests completion of the named course — that the enrolled individual completed the course requirements as assessed on the platform, on the stated date, for the stated course version.
A Faraday certificate is not an accredited professional credential. Expressly, it is not:
- a licence, registration, or certification issued or recognised by any government, regulator, or licensing board;
- accredited by any accrediting body, and it carries no continuing-education, CPD, CPE, PDH, or CEU credit unless a specific course states otherwise in writing;
- a professional qualification in engineering, law, finance, energy, or any other regulated field, and it does not authorise you to practise in any of them; and
- a warranty by Faraday of any holder's competence, judgement, or fitness for any role.
You may state that you completed the named Faraday Academy course and display the certificate. You may not describe yourself as "Faraday certified" without naming the course, describe the certificate as accredited or as a licence, alter a certificate, or use it to imply Faraday endorses your work, your employer, or your professional services. Section 6 (no implied endorsement, no distortion) of the Master Terms applies.
Faraday may revoke a certificate obtained by fraud, assessment abuse, or account sharing.
FA-6. Token grants on completion
Where a course or certification grants Faraday tokens on completion:
- Tokens granted are governed by Schedule BL (Briefing Library), BL-2 through BL-4, which apply to tokens from every source. Tokens are a limited licence to access content, are not stored value, are not redeemable for cash, and are non-transferable.
- The grant is a promotional benefit of the course, not a separate purchase, and no part of the course price is allocated to it.
FA-7. Nothing here is advice
Course content covers infrastructure, energy, permitting, and market topics for educational purposes only. Section 7 (No advice and no reliance), Section 8 (Scores, forecasts, and vintages), Section 9 (Third-party data pass-through), and Section 10 (AI-assisted content) of the Master Terms apply in full. Nothing taught in Faraday Academy is investment, legal, engineering, siting, or permitting advice, and completing a course does not qualify you to give any.
FA-8. Accessibility
Faraday targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA for its own surfaces (Master Terms, Section 17). Faraday Academy is delivered on a third-party platform whose conformance Faraday does not control. If you encounter an accessibility barrier in Academy content — including a need for captions, transcripts, or an alternative format — email accessibility@faraday-intelligence.ai with the course and lesson and we will work with you and, where the barrier is the platform's, with the platform provider.
Incorporation by reference
The Faraday Intelligence Master Terms of Service are incorporated into this Schedule and apply in full to your use of Faraday Academy. Read them together with this document. Where this Schedule conflicts with the Master Terms, this Schedule controls for Faraday Academy only, and only to the extent of the conflict.
